Refunds

Programs:

A full (100%) refund/credit/transfer will be given if Dardenne Prairie Parks & Recreation cancels the program or rental.

If the participant withdraws from the program before the first class/game a $10 administrative fee will be deducted from the full refund cost*. All refunds will be issued via check or credit card by the City of Dardenne Prairie. 

Refund request due to medical reasons prior to the start date of the program will be granted a full refund subject to doctor’s verification*.

​If the participant withdraws from the program any time after the first class/game, the participants must submit a request for refund. A prorated refund based on attendance up to 50% will be given, less a $10 administrative fee*. No refunds will be issued after the program/session is half over.

​At the City’s discretion, a credit may be applied to participant’s account instead of a refund. Credit can be used on future programs. A credit may be used by any member on the same household account. Credits are subjected to same fees as refunds.

​No refunds will be issued for adult leagues after the registration deadline.

​NOTE: All youth league refunds will be less the cost of uniforms.

Pavilion Rentals:

All rentals are subjected to an administrative cancellation fee of 50% of the reservation fee, if cancelled up to two weeks before the event date*. Cancellations requested less than two weeks from the date of the rental will be given no refund. No refunds will be given for inclement weather.

*Registration made by credit card will be refunded less a 3% processing fee

Athletic Facilities: 

There are no refunds for rainouts or unused scheduled time. At the City’s discretion, a credit will be given for rain-outs issued by the Parks and Recreation staff, no refunds. Credits must be used by November 30 of the credited year. 

Code of Conduct

 

The Dardenne Prairie Parks and recreation Department strives to create an atmosphere of respect and courtesy. Appropriate behavior and treatment of others is expected of all department employees, patrons and participants. Physical, mental, verbal and emotional abuse will not be tolerated by anyone visiting a facility or participating in any City of Dardenne Prairie sponsored activity. Any person acting inappropriate or disrespectful may be subject to revocation or the privilege of using department facilities or participating in department activities or programs for a period of time (including a permanent ban) as determined by staff based on the circumstances of a specific incident. Thank you for your cooperation and for making the Dardenne Prairie Parks and Recreation Department facilities a safe and enjoyable place to play!

Dardenne Prairie Municipal Code – Chapter 240 Parks and Recreation (Ordinance 1601)

The Family Pavilion is available for reservations on a first-come, first-served basis. The City retains the right to revoke this agreement at any time for any reason.

The reservation will be finalized at City Hall when the following is verified and completed

  • All applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Driver’s license or other form of ID is required.

  • Applicant must provide proof of address to qualify for resident rate.

  • Appropriate form must be completed. Responsible Party must be present at City Hall to sign the forms

  • All reservation fees must be paid (cash or check only)

  • Completed form must be approved by authorized City staff

Reservations will be taken for same year only. EXAMPLE: Reservations for June 2017 will not be accepted prior to January 2017.

Refunds will not be made due to inclement weather.

 The applicant will be asked to sign the agreement form which states:

  • NO SMOKING OR TOBACCO PRODUCTS ALLOWED

  • Loud music and disorderly conduct or behavior is prohibited. The City retains the right to remove any individual from the park for being loud, vulgar, disruptive or destructive of property and/or for violating any park rules or ordinances of the City.

  • Facilities must be left in good, clean condition when the activity is complete. Nails, tape, screws, thumb tacks, etc, must not be used to attach decoration to any surface. All trash, supplies and decorations must be removed at the end of the reservation.

  • No skateboarding, roller blading, bicycle riding or use of similar devices.

  • No food, gum or beverages allowed on playground equipment.

  • Please do not move park equipment and furnishings.

  • Pets must be on a leash no longer than six (6) feet in length. Owners are responsible for immediate clean up.

  • For the safety of all of our guests, glass containers are prohibited at all outdoor facilities.

  • All motor vehicle laws apply to the operation of vehicles within the park. Please park in designated areas only.

  • Proper clothing and footwear is required.

  • Advertising, merchandising, selling or solicitation is prohibited

  • Use of fireworks is prohibited.

  • Portable grills, bonfires, fires of any type are prohibited.

  • Weapons are prohibited, except as otherwise provided by law.

  • Please do not enter any area or park that has been posted as being closed.

  • Picnic shelters that are not reserved may be used by the public on a first come first serve basis.

  • The above is intended to provide you with the most common rules & regulations which may apply to your function. However, your reservation is subject to enforcement of all city ordinances & parks rules & regulations. If you have any questions regarding items not listed please call our office.

  • Each applicant is responsible for reparation of any damages arising from their group’s use of our Park property and its facilities.

  • The City retains the right to revoke this agreement at any time for any reason

I (we), for myself, my employees, agents, participants and invitees, hereby expressly release and discharge the City from any and all liability of every kind or nature, including, but not limited to, bodily injury (including death), damage to the property, and all claims, suits demands, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from or alleged to arise from the use of the City Park(or property) pursuant to this Agreement, that may be sustained by myself, my employees, agents, participants or invitees while on City property during the term of this Agreement.

I (we) further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City from any and all liability arising from or alleged to arise from the use of City Park, including, but not limited to, bodily injury (including death), damage to property, and all claims, suits, demands, losses, costs and expenses (including attorneys’ fees). I (we) am covered by my (our) own personal, or my groups own insurance for accidents and incidents that might arise during activities in the City Park, which coverage shall be effective on or before the date my (our) use of City Park shall have begun.
