Moody’s Upgrades City of Dardenne Prairie Issuer Rating

[Dardenne Prairie, MO — April 17, 2020] Moody’s Investors Service has upgraded the City of Dardenne Prairie issuer rating. The rating was upgraded to an Aa1 from a prior rating of Aa2. The rating was evaluated at the request of the City. The City continues to move forward with its plan to issue Certificates of Participation for the Dardenne Prairie Athletic Complex project.
The proposed project is expected to include three renovated ballfields, new lighting, a paved parking area, new restrooms, an equipment and storage building, a new maintenance building, and two pickleball courts.
Having an upgraded issuer rating will allow the city to attract investment interest in the project at more favorable interest rates.
As stated by Mayor David C. Zucker, “This upgraded rating shows the lending community that the City of Dardenne Prairie is a good investment with a responsible fiscal policy and quality oversight and management”.
