The Pre-Development meeting provides concerned parties with information regarding
new business development proposals. Meetings can be scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Before leasing or purchasing a building or site determine whether the proposed site use is
either a Permitted or Conditional according to the City’s Zoning Districts and regulations.
Zoning Regulations

Most businesses, including home businesses, require a business license through the city.
Complete the application below and return to City Hall with attention "City Clerk".
Business licenses expire annually on December 31st. Renewals will be sent by December 1st by the city.

Prior to approval of a Building Permit, a Construction Site Plan must be reviewed and approved by the City Engineer. In addition, the appropriate Fire Protection District will need to review and approve the development.
Contact the City Engineer to determine if you will need a site plan.
All new businesses and current businesses with changes in tenant or occupant require a Commercial Building & Occupancy Inspection. Permits will only be issued upon approval by the City Building Department and the Fire Protection District.
Complete an application and return to City Hall with appropriate fees.

In order to promote public safety, health and general welfare of the community the City seeks to regulate the types of signs permitted within the city limits. Sign standards are determined according to the district.
