To maintain a strong Community able to withstand the ever-demanding adversity that it is challenged daily, active participation of its residents is a crucial necessity.

I have been a persistent advocate for the promotional development of a plethora of diverse City programs suitable for the involvement of all Dardenne Prairie citizens.

With my experience in the Public Safety sector, I have actively supported the initiation of Homeland Security’s Citizen Corps Council and its full spectrum of programs: Community Emergency Response Team (CERT); USAonWatch; Medical Reserve Corps; Volunteer in Police Service (VIPS); and Fire Corps.

These initiatives are to promote the safety and security through the educational training of interested residents to teach them how to help themselves as well as to tend to the emergency needs of those close to them.

As seen nationally during past emergency situations, we cannot afford to wait for government entities to attend to our immediate needs. Self-preservation is everyone’s responsibility and it must begin with you.

It is not possible to sustain a Community without the commitment of Dardenne Prairie citizens volunteering their time and energies to whatever capacity they may desire to serve. Dardenne Prairie is growing stronger only by the committed efforts of those actively involved for the further evolution of these important measures in which I am sincerely grateful.
