 Welcome to the City of Dardenne Prairie, the heart of the golden triangle in St. Charles County. Small and quaint, Dardenne Prairie maintains a    rural flavor in a suburban setting. If you are considering moving your family or business to the St. Charles County area, you’ll find our City a great place to be. Our City boasts acres and acres of natural parks, beautiful residences, several thriving business plazas and an industrial park. With a new Downtown area, private high school and City Hall in the works, Dardenne Prairie is a wonderful place to live, work and play. Easy access to both Highway 40/61 and Highway 70, plus the new Page Avenue Extension when completed, make Dardenne Prairie accessible to the entire Metropolitan area. Register Now for Mission: Clean Stream 2010

On Saturday March 27, volunteers from St. Charles County, Greenway Network, and the communities of Cottleville, Dardenne Prairie, Lake St. Louis, O’Fallon, St. Charles and Wentzville will need your help to remove trash from local streams and lakes. Since inception, the event has taken on a whole new meaning, and name. Operation Clean Stream started as a joint effort to pick up some litter from publicly accessible creek areas. Today, Mission: Clean Stream has evolved into a challenge, or charge, for many to do some serious damage to the amount of trash in our waterways in a very short amount of time. Last year, roughly 500 volunteers pulled over 27,700 pounds of trash  from Dardenne, Peruque, Belleau, Spencer and Cole Creeks in a little over two hours! 
 
And even better, Greenway Network has gotten creative with the objects volunteers pull from the creeks. The Stream Trash ART (START) project, created by project director Ralph Rollins, salvages metal pulled from the streams and uses it to create new works of eco-art. Local artists will be working on the 27th at some of the lunch sites to create works of art from materials found. Look for local works to be on display in your community throughout February and March.

 The day will start at 8:30 a.m. with registration at one of the five rendezvous locations listed above.   Everyone is asked to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes or boots and bring gloves.  Transportation is not provided. Breakfast or lunch will be served depending upon location. Register early—space is limited. Participants registering by March 13 will receive a free T-shirt. In case of dangerous weather or high water, the event will be rescheduled for April 10th

Red Robin Receives Award

The Dardenne Prairie Red Robin has won the 2009 24 Carrot Gold Food Safety Excellence Award, awarded by the St. Charles County, Department of Community Health and the Environment.  The Dardenne Prairie Red Robin was chosen from approximately 1300 facilities in St. Charles County.  This award is designed to recognize those facilities that take the initiative to go above and beyond food code requirements to excel in sanitation and food safety.  Congratulations to the entire staff at Red Robin on a job well done!   Red Robin is located at 7821 Hwy N, in Dardenne Prairie.  636-625-1360

 

City Hall Professional Office Space Available for Lease

ICD Parish 1st Annual Classic Car Show

ICD Parish 1st Annual Classic Car Show, Saturday April 17th, 2010. The show is from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., free admission for the public. Join in the fun, games, & good times for a good cause, the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. Unique cars, food, drink, oldies music, bounce house, medical screenings, raffles, face paintings.
